Fantastic Festival Competition/Adjudication:
The Music Department is participating in Fantastic Festivals on Friday, June 2. The 8th Grade Chorus, Band and String Ensemble will perform for music judges, be rated on their performance and participate in a playing clinic with a professional musician. Then students will travel to Lake Compounce amusement park for the afternoon. Permission slips and field trip fees are due Monday, April 3 to your music teacher.

Attention families…The deadline for ordering your Swift Yearbook has passed.  The online portal will remain open until 4/21/17 to order with a credit card.  Orders can be placed online at ybpay.lifetouch.com.  Contact Mrs. Hodorski in the Swift Library with questions or concerns.


 Year book  YEARBOOK CANDIDS- The yearbook committee is looking to compile a wide variety of candids from which to choose for use in this year’s Swift yearbook. Any parent and/or coach who has photos from any fall activity (any of the sports, Honor Society and Leo Club induction, Student Council spirit day, etc.), please send it along digitally to hodorskipa@watertownps.org or germainma@watertownps.org . Due to limited space, not every photo shared will be used. Swift Middle School PTSO Executive Board Nominations 2017-2018
Are you interested in joining our board? Nominations are being accepted until May 17th.
 
Positions Include: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Reps, and Members-at-large. Please contact Cindy Mazzarella at cmazz62@optonline.net or 203-525-2202 by Wednesday, May 17th.  Elections will be held during our monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18th in the Swift Middle School Library.  (Please note that May’s meeting is being held on Thursday due to an event at the school.)
 

PTSO
 is the parent-teacher-student organization for the middle school. Funds raised will support events like STEM night for families in May, field trips including the school-wide spring outing to Quassy Amusement Park, educational programs including Shakesperience, scholarships for two Watertown High school seniors, and more.  
 
 
The May PTSO meeting will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 7:00 pm.
